The One Where We Meet Haley

Vacation Destinations

Coeur d’ Alene, ID (CDA) is one of the most desirable vacation destinations in the nation and it’s in my backyard. A few months ago I met Haley for her senior portraits. CDA is the largest city in the panhandle of Idaho, boasting an incredible lake and a bevy of water sports. Barbara Walters called it, “a little slice of heaven” and included it her her top ten fascinating places to visit. In edition, CDA has become a destination for golf enthusiasts and celebrities for its beauty and laid back feel. It was in this incredible backdrop that I met with 2022 Graduate Haley.

Beauty & The Backdrop

I love this session, not only is Haley beautiful, with her long wavy Rapunzel hair, but she dresses well. One of the best ways to get really great senior portraits is selecting the right wardrobe. I recommend at least three outfits that are flattering, fit well, and demonstrate your personality. Haley chose five outfits. She had three casual outfits, a dress up outfit, and a personality outfit. As you can see, we have plenty of time for multiple clothing changes during our senior session. She followed my senior portrait dressing suggestions perfectly. You can read all about it in my senior styling tip article. Haley’s choices ensured that she had a successful portrait session.

Successful Session

Haley’s choices reflected her style and personality. Her first outfit was in neutral palette with an off-the-shoulder blouse with rouching detail around the neckline and sleeves tucked into a belted short. This worked well because she looks terrific and looks stunning against the rich green background. The second outfit was a tucked white camisole beneath a bright red Kimono cardigan, blue jeans and a simple necklace. The third look was a chocolate brown sleeveless jumper with buttons down the legs. The final look was definitely a personality shot with a tie-died Def Leppard shirt and an American Flag.
